Hello Parents!
I would like to take this time to give a little info about myself and a brief introduction. Thank you so much for allowing me the opportunity to work with your daughters this year at Waverly Academy.
About Me:
I have been professionally teaching ballroom and latin dance in the style of DVIDA for 4 years at Beyond Just Dance in Orange Park. I was originally trained in ballet, contemporary, and jazz at the Ballet Arts Conservatory in Tallahassee, FL before moving on to instructing American Smooth and Rhythm, as well as International Latin and Country Western dance. I was fortunate enough to train in conjunction with schools and academies across Florida for ballet, contemporary, and jazz including Dance Educators of America, with former Balanchine Ballerina Suzanne Farrell (in association with the FSU School of Dance), the New York City Dance Alliance, world renowned choreographer Thom Lake, and former Miami Ballet Artistic Director Juan Sanchez. I was trained in the French style of Ballet using the AAB training curriculum which is more suited to building strong, healthy young dancers. In my studio I work with children 3 years and up, teenagers, and adults in any and all dance styles.
This will be my second year with Waverley Academy and my third Waverly cotillion in the spring.
